CMRU uses tandem prusik hitches and a prusik minding pulley as a belay. We also use tandem prusiks to attach the track lines to the tensioning system when setting up a highline.

Notice that one of the prusiks is longer than the other, so that two loops are even when pulled down to clip into the carabiner. We color-code the two sizes to keep them separate. CMRU ties its prusiks from 8mm kernmantel rope.
